Born and raised in Ann Arbor, Lindsey left the state soon after graduating from high school and lived in eight states before returning to Michigan in 2020. She joined MSU Extension in July 2022. She has a Master of Historic Preservation degree with a focus on landscapes and gardens and a Master of Science in Public Horticulture. Her professional background is in garden history, public gardens, and garden planning and maintenance. She lives Downriver where she recently removed her front lawn and replaced it with a (mostly) native plant garden.
