7:10pm Educational Presentation Webinar This webinar covers the history of Lymantria dispar (Gypsy Moth) and how it came to America, impacts and outbreak dynamics, key natural enemies, and options to help people cope during outbreaks (Bt sprays, bands, egg mass scraping, etc.). This webinar counts as 1.0 education hrs for MSU Extension Master Gardeners® and should be entered as "MSUE Webinar L dispar - IPM" in the new Volunteer Central system.

About the Speaker: Dr. Deborah McCullough is a Professor at Michigan State University in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, serving in both the Department of Entomology and the Department of Forestry. She has research, extension and teaching responsibilities all related to Forest Entomology. L. dispar was the first big invasive pest she worked on when she came to MSU, and as she says, "Unfortunately, it was not the last…" Deb is a thrill to watch present and is a wonderful resource for those who have questions and want to learn more about the current state of L dispar infestation in Michigan.
