Presentation: The Language Of Trees           

Join Dr. Ellen Holste, Community Program Manager at Pierce Cedar Creek Institute in Hastings, Michigan, as she discusses the hidden world within and below our forests and fields, and the unseen language of trees. Discover how plants communicate to each other both above and below-ground through their own version of the internet known as the wood wide web.
Dr. Holste holds a Masters of Science in Forestry and dual PhD degrees in Forestry and Ecology with a specialization in Environmental Science and Policy from Michigan State University. She also is certified as an interpretive guide through the National Association for Interpretation and served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Guatemala for three years.
